Hug Machine by Scott Campbell

Join the Hug Machine on his mission to hug EVERYTHING!

This book is so funny! I love the determination of the little boy to hug everything he possibly can.

The illustrations are adorable and totally match the whimsical vibe of the story.

One of my favorite Valentine’s Day books!

This is my favorite book in the Ruby Valentine series - it’s so sweet!

Amelia Bedelia’s First Valentine by Herman Parish pictures by Lynne Avril

In this fun story, the classic character of Amelia Bedelia is imagined as a kid!

She’s so excited to give Valentines to her class - after all, she spent lots of time handmaking each one! But when she forgets her cards on the bus, it seems like a disaster…or is it?

These illustrations are absolutely adorable! I love how Amelia Bedelia is just as clumsy as a kid as she is as an adult. She’s such a fun character!

Saint Valentine retold and illustrated by Robert Sabuda

Love notes and flowers are good and all, but what is Valentine’s Day really about?

This beautiful book tells the story of Valentine’s Day in a way kids can understand and relate to.

The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous and show the story perfectly.

I love the writing style!
