Logic Games
These are my favorite logic games! They’re sorted by single-player and two/multi-player.
That being said, my dad and I do work together to solve some of the single-player puzzles, so most of these are able to work with more than one player.
Logic games are perfect for boosting critical thinking and spatial relation skills. (and they’re super fun for rainy days, AND compact enough to bring on road trips!) My favorite brands are linked at the bottom of this page!
I do make a small commission from the games on this page, at no additional cost to you!
P.S. - When a game on this page is labeled ‘travel friendly,’ I use that term to mean that you can play it on the go, on road trips or on a plane. Travel friendly games are also compact enough to stow away in a backpack <3

Kanoodle Gravity by
Educational Insights
Travel Friendly
Ages 7-adult
Kanoodle Gravity is like screen-free Tetris - with two ways to play! One way, you play with yourself to try and puzzle the pieces in so that they fit perfectly in the square. The other way (for two players!) is to take turns with a friend to place pieces in the game board. The first one to not be able to fit their piece loses. First one to win 5 rounds wins the game!
Temple Trap by Smart Games
Travel Friendly
Ages 7-adult
The goal of Temple Trap is to get the adventurer out of the temple by sliding walls and avoiding alligators! There are 60 challenges ranging from easy to expert. Each challenge tells you where to place each piece of the temple. That leaves you to rearrange them to make a path for the explorer to get out by having him climb stairs and go through tunnels.
Cat Crimes by Thinkfun
Ages 8-adult
Oh no! There’s been a cat-tastrophe in the house! One of the cats has done something in a fit of feistiness and won’t confess! It’s up to you to find out which kitty is to blame in this meow-tastic logic game. There are 40 challenge cards with crimes to solve, showing which crime took place (e.g. who broke the flower pot or knocked over the coffee cup) and clues to figure out which cat was closest to the crime scene. (There’s a ‘Dog Crimes’ version available, if you or your little one prefer barks over meows!)
Rush Hour by Thinkfun
Travel Friendly
Ages 8-adult
The goal of Rush Hour is to get the red car out of the traffic jam by sliding the other trucks and cars on the tracks to make an empty lane. This one is so fun - it’s super easy to learn and quick to pick up! It comes with a drawstring bag so you can take it with you easily. There are 40 challenge cards with answers on the back, so if you get stuck (in traffic) you can flip the card over to see the solution!

The Genius Square by The
Happy Puzzle Company

1-2 players
How to play: Roll the 6 dice to get 6 random coordinates, then place the wooden circles on the corresponding squares on the grid. Then try to puzzle in the shape blocks around the wooden circles! Race against an opponent to fill the spaces or play by yourself. There are 62,208 possible combinations, so you can DEFINITELY play this game over and over again!
The Genius Star by The
Happy Puzzle Company
Travel Friendly
Ages 8-adult

This game plays the same way as the Genius Square, but the puzzles are more complicated to solve because of the triangle shapes and small corners. (This version a better choice for older kids, or if you want a challenge after playing The Genius Square!)
Set by PlayMonster
Ages 6-adult
1+ players
The object of this game is to find SETS of three cards with matching (or unique) traits. Color, shape, number, and shading. A SET is three cards that on which every feature is the same or different. Combinations can vary - play with yourself or race against your family to find them!
Q-bitz by MindWare
Ages 8-adult
2-4 players
The goal of Q-bitz is to be the first one to replicate the design on the card with your patterned dice. Each side of your dice has a different pattern on it - colored triangles or circles. (There’s a q-bitz jr. if your little ones want to join in on the fun!) Even though this game is for 2-4 players, I modify it to play by myself sometimes.
Blokus by Mattel Games
Ages 7-adult
2-4 players
The goal of Blokus is to be the player to have the most pieces on the game board by placing your pieces on the grid. But there’s a catch - your pieces can only touch at the corners! This game is easy to learn, fun to play, and doesn’t get old! I love how Blokus can be played with four players - that makes it great for a family game night!
Kanoodle Head to Head
by Educational Insights
Travel Friendly
Ages 7-adult
2 players
This game is similar to the second single-player game on this page, IQ Puzzler Pro, but instead of playing by yourself, you’re going against an opponent! There are 80 challenge cards for you and your opponent to solve, ranging from beginner to advanced. Even though this is a game for two players, I sometimes play by myself using only one side of the game board.
